Classes begin the week of September 9. More information regarding the season schedule, dress code and additional information will be sent in late summer.

TUITION

One Class.......$50 Per month

Two Classes.....$80 Per month

Class Placement

Student placement determined by many factors including: age, skills assessment and maturity. A minimum of five students per class must register in order to hold session.

Storytime Theatre | Tuesday 4:15-5:00 PM

Ages 5-7

September - April

Does your child like to play pretend? Do they imagine they're a princess, knight , dragon or even a banana?! This is the perfect class to introduce young children to the excitement and entertainment of theatre. Young students explore introductory concepts of theatre through dramatizing age-appropriate stories, games & fun!

Laugh Out Loud: Youth Improv Comedy Showcase | Tuesday 6:15-7:00 PM

Ages 8 & Older

September - April

Do you like to laugh? Do you like to make things up? In this class, students from all different experience levels are encourage to participate and learn more about the art of improvisation. Through games and improvised scenes and situations, the students work with the various improvisational tools such as “Yes, and”, blocking, how to build a scene, “turning corners”, character choices, and more. Performance take place as part of this session, which students are expected to attend so that they can experience sharing their work for family, friends, and the general public.

Acting & Performance | Monday 6:45-8:00 PM

Ages 10 & Older 

September - December

In this next-level acting experience, students fine tune their current skills and apply them to a variety of scenes and monologues. New tools are presented and focus is given to blocking, wants/needs, actions, obstacles, expression, and practical skills such as memorization and blocking notation.

 

Prior Studio 170 theatre arts students (who have taken classes previously and/or participated in our youth productions), are eligible to register; new students will also be permitted with approval from the instructor. The class will culminate in a final presentation for family, friends, and the general public at the end of the session in December.
