COSTUME PICK UP
The majority of costumes/tights/accessories will be picked up in class the week of April 1 pending all tuition and costume payments have been submitted. Students under age ten MUST have an adult sign for the costume upon pick up.
Recital T-shirts will be given to each student as a gift from the studio! Please select the size t-shirt for your dancer using the link provided in the Tshirt email you receive. NEW this year - additional t-shirts for other family, friends, siblings etc. can be purchased. Shirts will be distributed in class during the last week of studio class. Most students wear their t-shirt to rehearsal, to school on the Friday of recital and as a costume cover up to the shows.
In order for the recital to run smoothly and dancers to be supervised and supported, your volunteer assistance is greatly needed in various ways. Please sign up via the email link that will be sent.
If there are not enough volunteers who participate to supervise a specific class, a fee of $5.00 per student from the class will be required to ensure that the studio can hire a room monitor to care for the class.
If your dancer is in need of new shoes, orders must be placed by Friday, April 3 to ensure that all shoes arrive in time for recital. If orders are placed after this date, I can not guarantee ship times based on the delivery dates I am currently receiving from the costume distributor.
When a dancer in attendance at the studio is a senior in high school, he/she has the unique opportunity to sign up for a senior solo to be performed at the annual recital. A senior soloist will pay a $100 fee in addition to fees for the costume of their choice. A student will receive 4 hours of one on one rehearsal during which the unique choreography created for their solo will be instructed. This experience is a $300 value based on choreography rates in our area. I am offering a reduced rate in order for students to participate in this experience in their final recital performance as a Studio 170 dancer. Costume and song selection must be approved by the instructor. A senior solo will not exceed 2 minutes.
